There’s been lot of talk lately about the end of the Digital Age. But there’s something new emerging - are we now entering the Age of Data?
Data is everywhere. From our daily commutes, to how we spend our money,
the Semantic Web and even the latest fridges collect and use data (oh, by the way you’re out of oat milk).
Telling captivating stories with data is easier said than done. Spreadsheets don’t exactly get hearts racing. But it doesn’t need to be that way. Data can be beautiful. Data can tell stories.
When Elavon asked us to create data visualisations for their retail research series with IPSOS, we knew we had to find a way to present the data in a way that made complicated datasets easy to digest. But, more importantly, we needed to tell engaging visual stories.
To achieve this we created a set of bespoke illustrations that built a graphical framework, all rooted in the Elavon brand.
This enabled us to visualise and distill the data into a visual format that’s easier and more engaging to interpret. To add an additional level of visual impact, our team then animated the illustrations - bringing the stories to life.
The result was a set of data visualisations that turned a complicated data set into a clear and concise visual story.
