Pinterest, the platform known for sparking inspiration and turning dreams into reality, wanted to make a significant impact at the 2023 Cannes Lions.
Pinterest tasked us with creating dynamic animated content for a colossal LED screen. This screen was to act as a beacon, guiding attendees to Pinterest's Manifestival at The Carlton Beach Club.
The challenge was not just to create compelling content, but to do so in a way that encapsulated the festival's identity, and encouraged attendees to transition on their own personal journey from "ideas" to "I did's".
We believe in humanising brand experiences. We started by identifying ways we could integrate the festival's ethos into our motion design. The Pinterest Manifestival was about making the next big thing happen - a new look, a new goal, an obsession, or a brilliant idea. A Manifestation Festival.
Our approach transformed the LED screen into a living, breathing entity. It was no longer just a screen; it was a glowing beacon of inspiration, guiding attendees towards their next 'I did it'. The integration of UGC ‘user generated content’ in the animations made the content more personal and relatable, echoing the human-centric ethos of Pinterest and SomeBrightSpark.
A defining moment in our process was the creation of an identity animation. We morphed the Manifestival logo into a flurry of balloons that ascended towards the sky, embodying the exhilarating journey from ideation to realisation. This visual was so captivating that Pinterest adopted it as the festival's hero identity, using it across their social media, video content, and communications.
This project not only showcased our creative expertise but also underlined our commitment to energising and humanising brand experiences, through captivating motion design. We didn't just deliver a project; we created a visual experience that resonated with everyone at the festival, encouraging them to take the leap from 'ideas' to 'I did's'.
